Shristi Shrestha as Miss Nepal 2012
Finally, we have Shristi Shrestha as Miss Nepal 2012 – a UK based model. The event hosted by former Miss Nepal runner-up Sahana Bajracharya and Hits FM RJ Biraj Singh Khadka was held at Hotel Del Annapurna on May 6th. She was crowned as Miss Nepal 2012 by the former Miss Nepal 2011 – Malina Joshi. Shristi also was able to achieve the ‘Miss Confident’ title.
Among three semi-finalists, Shristi stood the first followed by Nagma Shrestha (left) as first runner-up and Subekshya Khadka (right) as second runner-up. These Nepali girls have now a chance to represent themselves at Miss World 2012, Miss Earth 2012, and Miss International 2012 respectively which will be going to held in China on August 18th this year.

The time is coming near for the country to have new Miss Nepal for the year 2012. The 19th Miss Nepal organized by ‘The Hidden Treasure Pvt. Ltd.’ will be held at Hotel Del Annapurna on May 6, 2012. The contest will be telecasted live on Nepal Television.
The audition phase was held sooner than the previous year as to make enough time available for the winners to be prepared and trained. The contestant who will be crowned as Miss Nepal 2012 will represent Nepal at Miss World 2012. Similarly, the first and second runners up will compete at ‘Miss Earth’ and ‘Miss International’ respectively.
Altogether 17 contestants from different parts of the country were selected to compete for the national beauty pageant this year. However, predictions has already been started to flow and the result is yet to be announced. The competition is tough as it is not just about beauty but also talent. Till that date, vote for your favorite contestant and hold your breath.

Ayusha Karki - Former Miss Teen Nepal
